Wind Demons Drive Elric of Melniboné Toward Imrryr

P. Craig Russell Epic Illustrated #4 Elric "The Dreaming City (Part II)" Story Page 1 Original Art By P. Craig Russell. (Marvel/Epic, 1980).

We’re back with another batch of P. Craig Russell original art auctions, continuing on with what Craig considers to be “Part 2” of The Dreaming City! From the Heritage Auctions listing:

Wind demons drive Elric of Melniboné toward Imrryr through jagged sea stacks at unnatural speed. The powers peel away, the waters calm, and his trance snaps in a stark final close-up. From Roy Thomas and P. Craig Russell's adaptation of Michael Moorcock's Elric saga, one of the best-known US versions after earlier small-press efforts. Marvel later reprinted this material and completed the story with new chapters in Marvel Graphic Novel #2. This opening page is rendered in ink with watercolor over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Lightly toned, with discolored production tape in the margins, and tape registration marks in the side margins. Signed by Russell in the bottom margin. In Very Good condition.

This auction is now live and bidding starts at only (gasp) $1!
